Revy does most of the fighting for the Lagoon Company. Very little is revealed about her past, although portions can be pieced together through the series. Revy is a Chinese-American born and raised in Chinatown, Manhattan, near Mott Street, spending most of her youth as a thief and murderer. Flashbacks throughout the series reveal that Revy may have honed her skills with firearms by shooting at cans, and that her first murder may have involved shooting an unknown man while using a pillow. It is unknown whether the pillow was used to suppress the noise or to help avoid looking at her first victim. Revy is very competitive, easily bored, and extremely ill-tempered. Unlike Rock, she is undiplomatic, believing in the use of brute force and coercion to get her way. In contrast to this, she's revealed to be highly ticklish.

Tsubasa is Koyomi's classmate, and seems to have known Senjogahara since middle school. She seem to be very intelligent and is described by Koyomi as the "the class president of all class presidents."
One day, she tried to help a cat lying on the side of a street. Suddenly she got strange headaches until cat ears emerged from her head, her hair turned white, and she climbed a tree. Oshino told Araragi that she had the characteristics of a cat now, and that the stress of her home and school life placed such a heavy burden on her that her subconscious mind took over in the form of a white cat. As a cat, Hanekawa prowled the rooftops and stalked her prey, the major source of her stress: her parents. Once she leaped into action, she drained them of all their energy, then set her sights on Araragi. Araragi though she would do the same to him, and led her into a trap where Shinobu emerged out of nowhere and sucked out Hanekawa's energy with her vampiric fangs until the cat receded and Hanekawa returned to normal.

He is the letter bee that finds young Lag Seeing marked as a letter in "Coza Bel", a small town in the "Yodaka District" (The low class district in Amberground). He has to deliver to "Cambel Litus" a town also on the "Yodaka District" so he can join his aunt which was trusted to take care of him from the person who wrote Lag's letter data. Gauche is also a a caring and enthusiastic letter bee, he is trying to become the "Head Bee" (Captain of the letter bees) so he has enough money to help his sister and live peacefully.

A man who is always seen to wear sunglasses and a bartender's suit. Although quiet and nondescript while not angered, he has a very short fuse and fights with incredible strength. Despite his simple and unrefined fighting skills, he is often considered the strongest fighter in the series. In the novels his power is described as the naturally unlimited form of human strength and likened to "adrenaline power" that can give people superhuman strength in times of emergency. In addition, Shizuo is capable of often superhuman parkour moves, a skill he obtained naturally from years of hunting down Izaya Orihara.

Shizuo works as a bodyguard for a debt collector in Ikebukuro and carries intense animosity towards Izaya. He has a younger brother, Kasuka, who is a top idol under the showbiz name of Hanejima Yūhei. He is also a long-time acquaintance of Celty.

Zaraki's surname comes from the district he once resided in, Zaraki, which is district #80 of the North Alley of Rukongai. District #80 is the worst, most lawless region of Rukongai, full of thieves and murderers (whereas area #1 is the most orderly and law-abiding). While residing in District #80, Kenpachi was nameless. During that time, he became proficient in swordsmanship and killed numerous enemies.
After some time had passed, Kenpachi found his way to the Seireitei. He defeated and killed the previous Captain of the 11th Division (whose identity is currently unknown) and gained his seat in the Gotei 13 in this manner.

It is implied Alucard is the most powerful vampire currently in existence; he has a vast range of supernatural techniques including enhanced strength, which allows him to wield pistols too heavy for humans to handle. He fights with ferocity and often extreme cruelty, rarely shooting to kill until his target has been disabled and humiliated, while frequently giving his enemies more than one chance to kill him before retaliating. He admits he is a "monster".

Notorious for his cruel and deceitful fighting ability, Hisoka has proven to be deadly. His deviousness and volatility has made many opponents have difficulty anticipating his next move, and this has led to him winning many battles. Using Shu powered poker cards as his primary weapon, he throws them with ease and deadly accuracy.

Also, he is very intrigued by Gon and the potential this young boy has to become an adept and powerful adversary. Hisoka, ever looking for a strong opponent, is willing to aid, or at least not defeat prematurely, someone that could develop into a future opponent.
