Yagami Light is a brilliant college student. Nicknamed as "Kira", he uses the death note to create his ideal world of justice under him; its new god. Though he looks frail, Light is an extremely athletic person, with an aptitude to find an opponent's weak point. He is a genius, which adds to his notion that only he is fit to judge humanity and steer it on a proper moral course.

Zaraki's surname comes from the district he once resided in, Zaraki, which is district #80 of the North Alley of Rukongai. District #80 is the worst, most lawless region of Rukongai, full of thieves and murderers (whereas area #1 is the most orderly and law-abiding). While residing in District #80, Kenpachi was nameless. During that time, he became proficient in swordsmanship and killed numerous enemies.
After some time had passed, Kenpachi found his way to the Seireitei. He defeated and killed the previous Captain of the 11th Division (whose identity is currently unknown) and gained his seat in the Gotei 13 in this manner.

A Bishoku-ya with an abnormally large appetite (A food serving for 500 people could only get him 1/10 full). He is known as one of the "Four Heavenly Kings", and his nickname is "The Glutton". Despite having a huge appetite and massive power, he doesn't indiscriminately kill and eat any animal; he only kills those animals he decides to eat. He has immunity to seventy different poisons, created by injecting himself with a near fatal dose of each poison and causing his body to create antibodies. He also has an animal-like sense of smell. He has adopted the Battle Wolf's new born pup and named it Terry Cloth. Like the other Kings, Toriko started of as a chain animal.
Hunting Method: Toriko relies on his sheer monster-like strength to capture his targets.
Full Course Menu: Currently, Toriko has yet to fill his menu in any slot but Hors-D'oeuvre, Soup and dessert. He decided that the Dish God will be his main dish.

Kenshiro (ケンシロウ, Kenshirō?, nicknamed Ken for short) is the main protagonist of the franchise Fist of the North Star by Buronson and Tetsuo Hara. According to Buronson, Kenshiro's character design was inspired by the character of Max Rockatansky from the Mad Max film series and martial artist Bruce Lee.
In the story, Kenshiro is the rightful successor of an ancient art of assassination called Hokuto Shinken, which allows Kenshiro to defeat his adversaries through use of hidden meridian points. Through the course of the original manga, Kenshiro fights against various ruffians who threaten the lives of the post-apocalyptic survivors, as well as numerous rival martial artists, including his three honorary brothers trained in the art of Hokuto Shinken.
Kenshiro is also known as the Man With Seven Scars (七つの傷の男, Nanatsu no kizu no otoko?), due to the seven scars engraved on his chest patterned after the shape of the Big Dipper (the symbol of the Hokuto school), as well as the Savior of Century's End (世紀末救世主, Seikimatsu Kyūseishu?). In the manga, as well as most anime adaptations of the franchise, Kenshiro's catch phrase before killing an enemy is "you're already dead" (お前はもう死んでいる, omae wa mō shindeiru?).
