Up-and-coming director Seung Hee fell in love with Hye-soo, despite her mother's strong objection to their relationship. Tragically, Hye-soo was killed in a car accident that he indavertently caused. After taking a three-year hiatus from film-making, he decided to take a trip to the countryside to scout out sites for his next film. Much to his surprise he comes across a girl who looks exactly like his dead girlfriend. Trying to make some sense of the situation, Seung Hee follows the girl, Bok Shil, around the countryside, and ends up falling in love with her. Because she needed money for her mother's health, Bok Shil decides to move to the city to find work. She ends up being employed by the production company in charge of Seung Hee's films. Just when it looks like Seung Hee might have a second chance at love, a secret from the past and obstacles in the present threaten to come between them.
