Super Junior (Korean: 슈퍼주니어) is a South Korean boy band. Formed in 2005 by producer Lee Soo-man of SM Entertainment, the group comprised a total of thirteen members at its peak, and was at one point the world's largest boy band. Super Junior originally debuted with twelve members, consisting of leader Leeteuk, Heechul, Han Geng, Yesung, Kangin, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, and Kibum. Kyuhyun was added to the group in 2006.
Super Junior launched into international recognition following the release of their best-selling single "Sorry, Sorry" in 2009, the title song of their most critically successful album Sorry, Sorry. The group has released and contributed to over 20 records with varying degrees of success, and was the best-selling K-pop artist for three years in a row. Over the years, they have been divided into smaller subgroups, simultaneously targeting different music industries and audiences. Largely due to Super Junior's success as entertainers, other Korean entertainment managements began to train their music groups in other areas of entertainment, such as acting and hosting. In addition to their commercial success, Super Junior has earned ten music awards from the Mnet Asian Music Awards, thirteen from the Golden Disk Awards, and is the second singing group to win Favorite Artist Korea at the 2008 MTV Asia Awards after JTL in 2003.
In December 2009, Han Geng departed from the group after filing a lawsuit against their agency SM Entertainment. Han Geng subsequently won the lawsuit in December 2010,[8] though his departure from Super Junior was not made official until September 27, 2011, when S.M. Entertainment finally released a statement to that effect.[9][10] Heechul enlisted for his mandatory military service on September 1, 2011, joining Kangin, who is set to complete his service in April 2012. As well as this, Kibum remains absent from the group while pursuing an acting career, however the remaining members consider the absent four to be part of the group regardless. This has left Super Junior with nine currently active members: Leeteuk, Yesung, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun.

Yesung (Йесунг)
Kim Jong-woon (born August 24, 1984), better known by his stage name Yesung, is a South Korean idol singer and occasional actor. He is one of the four lead vocalists of the boy band Super Junior. He was once a radio host for his own radio program, M.I.R.A.C.L.E for You, which ended its broadcast in September 2007. His stage name Yesung (藝聲 in Hanja) is translated to "art-like voice" and is derived from the phrase "예술가의 성대", meaning "vocal cords of an artist."

Kim Young-woon (born January 17, 1985), better known by his stage name Kangin, is a South Korean idol singer, actor, MC, presenter, and a member of the super boy band Super Junior. His name 'Kangin' (強仁 in Hanja), meaning strong benevolence, was given to him to complement his personality. Kangin officially enlisted and began his two year military service on July 5, 2010 and supposedly returning on April 16, 2012.

Shin Dong-hee (born September 28, 1985), better known by his stage name Shindong, is a South Korean idol singer, actor, presenter, and one of the four lead dancers of the boy band Super Junior. He is a dancer but also a rapper, often co-writing rap lyrics with Eunhyuk. He is an extremely popular radio personality and show host on various programs, noted for his comedic style.

Lee Sung-min (born January 1, 1986), better known simply as Sungmin, is a South Korean singer and actor. He is best known as a member of the K-pop boy band Super Junior. He is considered to be one of the four main vocalists of Super Junior.

Lee Hyuk-jae (born April 4, 1986), better known by his stage name Eunhyuk, is a South Korean singer, rapper, and actor. He is best known as a member of the K-pop boy band Super Junior and its subgroups, Super Junior-T and Super Junior-Happy. Currently, he is one of the two new additions to Super Junior's Mandopop subgroup, Super Junior-M.

Along with four other Super Junior members, he is one of the first Korean artists to appear on Chinese postage stamps.
Kibum (Кибум)
Kim Ki-bum (born August 21, 1987), sometimes mononymously credited as Kibum, is a Korean pop singer, actor, and a member of the super boy band Super Junior. He made his debut in the Korean television drama April Kiss in 2004. Although debuted as an actor, he achieved higher results as a singer after his music debut with Super Junior in 2005. Since the release of the group's third studio album "Sorry, Sorry", Kibum did not take part in any of the group's promotional activities except for music video shoots for "Sorry, Sorry" and "It's You", due to acting pursuits.
