Ophelia was ranked #4 in her time and widely known among her fellow warriors as a sadistic and sociopathic warrior. Despite the law among warriors that killing humans is strictly forbidden under pain of death, it is hinted that she murdered humans to sate her bloodlust. Her crimes remain undiscovered or unproven. Her self-invented nickname is "Rippling Ophelia", after her trademark sword movement. though in the anime version she used the title "Ophelia of the Ripples"

An 18 year old Exorcist from Japan. He can recover much faster due to a mysterious tattoo above his heart (which looks like a Hinduism seal), and it is related to a flower sealed in a hourglass that was said when wilted, will kill Kanda with it. His purpose in life is to find "that someone"; until then, he will never allow himself to die. So far, it has lost two petals, but is otherwise still robust. He was grudgingly partners with Allen in Allen's first mission. He has long blue hair, washed by "soap". However, he has a rough tongue, foul mouth and a cold manner. Yu is Kanda's given name, but he dislikes being called that.His weapon against Akuma is a katana, "Mugen" (六幻). "Mugen" means "six illusions".

He has the lowest psychic rank possible at Level 0 — largely because the people testing psychic abilities cannot detect or classify his abilities. Due to this, the founder of Academy City considers him neither a Psychic nor a Magician but rather a normal person with a unique ability. His power is Imagine Breaker, a power which negates all magic, psychic, or divine powers but also his own good luck. He tends to stay away from trouble but possesses a strong sense of justice, albeit somewhat shallow and dogmatic.

A strong and mostly stoic character, Kenshirō is compelled to punish evil-doers and can perform feats not possible for most people. His mastery of the ancient martial art Hokuto Shinken allows him to kill or cripple with a mere touch. The results tend to be very messy -it usually causes parts of the victim to explode- but the art also includes several other means of killing. He can also use this art to heal or to alter people's behavior. Later in the series Kenshirō learns parts of other martial arts.

When angry his spiritual powers reach their peak, normally culminating in the dramatic destruction of his shirt and jacket (which, despite the obvious lack of a wardrobe or clothing store, are always replaced in the next episode or story arc) to expose his muscular torso.

His catchphrase is Omae wa mō shindeiru (おまえはもう死んでいる), meaning "You are already dead", which he usually says before a villain's head is about to explode.

Due to the symbolic scar in the pattern of the Big Dipper given to him by Shin, Kenshirō is frequently referred to as "the man with seven scars" by those who do not know his name.

Being one of the Legendary Three Ninjas as well as a former member of Akatsuki, Orochimaru is a very talented ninja. Since his leaving Konoha he has performed many modifications to his body, resulting in his natural form being that of a giant white snake composed of many smaller snakes. This form has the advantages of allowing him to stretch any part of his body to great lengths, regenerate any wound inflicted upon him, and otherwise use the snakes that he is composed of for attack.

Akisame is a 38-year-old philosophical Jujutsu master who was the first master willing to train Kenichi (though ironically he seems to be the only masters that does not believe in him, though this may be an act) and an old friend of Miu's father, Saiga. Despite his seemingly small physique, he is actually known for having his muscles built to perfection. He also has very good insight on people, often knowing if they are troubled or hiding something; he sometimes even knows what a person is thinking, which scares Kenichi.
He has several hobbies and many unique abilities, including being a famous and legendary artisan, who has mastered calligraphy, painting, pottery, and sculpting. He often invents contraptions that serve as both training devices for Kenichi and power sources for the dojo including a treadmill generator. Because of this, in the manga Kenichi often runs home to him in times of problems screaming "DORAEMON!" (complete with dorayaki). He also owns an orthopedic clinic, and can reset and fix bones with ease. According to Kenichi in episode 8, he is capable of unspeakable brutality. In episode 50, it is shown that Akisame does indeed show anger towards Ogata's treatment of his disciple. When Kenichi imitated him in the battle against Ryuuto, Kenichi openly informed Ryuuto that the basics of martial arts is mimicry, this seemed to impress Akisame. Akisame is also capable of speaking fluently in Russian and can even write Russian symbols well even when driving a motorcycle at high speeds.
