Finntroll is a folk metal band from Finland. They combine elements of extreme metal with Finnish polka, called humppa. Finntroll's lyrics are in Swedish, one of Finland's two national languages, because "Swedish just sounds damn trollish", according to the band's first vocalist, Katla (whose native language is Swedish). Finntroll means "Troll from Finland."

Finntroll are shooting a gig for an upcoming DVD-release. This recording will take place at the Melkweg in Amsterdam September 20th this year.

Vocalist Katla was forced to leave the band due to a tumor (not to be confused with cancer) that affected his vocal chords and could not be removed with surgery. This caused some live shows to be cancelled, and Pete Eskelinen filled until a replacement was found. Katla did, however, take part in recording of "Visor om Slutet" in 2003.

Somnium died by falling from a bridge on March 16th, 2003. His death was officially an accident, but Mika Luttinen (Impaled Nazarene) claims that he committed suicide. There are now no founders left in the band.

Tapio Wilska was fired in January 2006 and replaced in April by Vreth.

Although they are from Finland, their lyrics are in Swedish as Katla is Fenno-Swedish (a minority in Finland whose primary language is Swedish).

Само че да беше сложил снимчица с новия вокал Вред :wink:

Иначе Финрол къртят много здраво и особено последния албум, който ме изненада страшно приятно. По принцип когато някоя група сменя своя вокалист (особено ако е такава култова личност) съм леко скиптична, но в техния случей резултатът беше разбиващ!
