At the beginning of the story he seems to be a perverted middle aged man who came to the school going undercover as a teacher. After Shioon discovering his martial art skills, shioon bribes him with a video clip. Continuing Chun woo discovers Shioon's hidden potential and teaches foot and arm techiniques.As the story progresses, he shows more of his past and growing relationship with his new disciple.

Lavi is a cheerful 18-year-old red-haired Exorcist of mixed race. He aims to become a Bookman, a person who records the hidden history of the world, and has been trained from a young age to achieve that goal. Lavi is the 49th alias he assumed after casting away his real name to reach that goal. He works along the Black Order just to be close to the events that must be seen, but slowly becomes more attached to his Black Order friends, and his original Bookman self is constantly being clouded by his growing care for them. His anti-akuma weapon, simply named Tettsui (Iron Hammer) and referred to as Ōzuchi Kozuchi (Big Hammer, Little Hammer), is capable of growing and extending to undefined sizes and lengths. The weapon allows him to use "seals" that control several elements of nature.

Byakuran is the former head of Gesso Famiglia and one of the two current bosses of Milefiore Famiglia, other being Uni. He is the head of White Spell of Milefiore and commander of Funeral Wreaths and many other strong individuals.
Byakuran has spiky white hair and light purple eyes. His distinguishing feature is a purple tattoo under his left eye. In his first appearance, he wears the standard White Spell uniform with a Mare Ring symbol on the side of his shirt and has silver shoulder pads with the Millefiore insignia like the other members.

He is often used as the manhwa's comic relief with his love of ramen and the errors he makes with technology. He has fallen into a deep slumber for 820 years, and had woken up in an abandoned building in South Korea. After seeing what most of the humans on the streets were wearing, Rai took on the uniform of a student from Ye Ran High School, which is under the administration of Frankenstein, and inadvertently followed the students there.

While traveling and searching for the remnants of Gwi, he meets a girl who also bears the same mark crossed out than he has. A fateful encounter? Were those two fated to meet? And why does he hold such a grudge against the “Gwi”? ... all are questions left to be answered!
