Love, Miki and Inori are on their way to a dance contest, but get lost on their way to Minato Mirai. Still looking for their way, they are attacked by a monster. When the three Fresh Precure girls start to fight it, other Precures show up to support them. They all have to combine their powers to win against this mighty enemy.

A sequel to the first Precure All Stars film, it is the second crossover film featuring of all the current Pretty Cures, including Heartcatch Precure!. Unlike the first movie, Eiga Precure All Stars DX2: Kibou no Hikari - Rainbow Jewel o Mamore! is not to mark any kind of celebration or anniversary.

I, Hanasaki Tsubomi, am a 2nd year middle school student. One morning, my best friend Kurumi Erika suddenly bursts into my room while I was still fast asleep, saying "Coffret is missing!" Oh, no! I can't find Shypre either! We find a clue on my desk. It is an invitation card to Fairy Park, an amusement park floating on the sea.

At Fairy Park, we find Coffret and Shypre, as well as a host of other uber-cure fairies. Together, we had a blast! However, a sinister form suddenly appears causing mayhem in the park. What's going to happen to us!?

At that moment, Precures appear one after another! I didn't know there were so many of them! 17 in all! Together, the Precure All Stars will definitely protect the Rainbow Jewel!
