Ayame is a freshman in high school and Ibuki's younger sister. She has a shy, tsundere personality and is acutely aware of her small breasts when compared to those of her siblings. It took a while for her to like Yoichi romantically and she tries to help him at times while saying it was for no particular reason. She is bad with household chores in general and dislikes being compared to Ibuki, as she is constantly overshadowed. She has kissed Yoichi twice while he was unconscious during the performance of the play (the first unintentional and the other intentional).

Sakuraba Aoi ( Ai Yori Aoshi )

Personality: kind, meek, shy, subservient

The primary female protagonist of the series.
She's generally very shy and demure, addressing Kaoru as "Kaoru-sama". Also, she's usually portrayed wearing a kimono; specifically, an indigo one.
Because she's a very good cook and keeps her house in a very clean state, she's seen as a Yamato Nadeshiko (traditional Japanese beauty).

Unlike other female leads in harem anime, she works to control her jealousy and is generally successful. She's very devoted to Kaoru, however, and will do all in her power to prevent being separated from him.
In the beginning, Aoi was willing to warm him when he had a fever, becoming nude in the process (she made sure he wasn't looking).

Muneakira's first master samurai, with the contractual mark on her chest. She also has a power level of five million when she transforms, but in this state she has shown a sadistic side, yet she is an honourable warrior who gives respect to those whom have earned it. In her normal form however, she has no memories of her former life, and has an obsession with her "onii-chan" (big brother), Muneakira. She is also airheaded, innocent, and acts very much like a child, which is reinforced by the fact that she refers to herself in third-person. Her weapon is a daisho set, with the katana unusually colored.

The younger of the Anarchy sisters, Stocking is a violet-haired goth girl with a gluttonous appetite for sweet desserts. She is generally more level-headed and intelligent than Panty, although she can be just as rude as her sister when provoked. She also does not share her sister's interest in sex, though she occasionally displays masochistic tendencies such as bondage and electrocution. She does not gain weight from eating sugary foods, allowing her to eat desserts to her heart's content. Due to her obsession with sweets, she becomes enraged whenever someone tampers with them or calls her overweight. Her stockings transform into a pair of katanas, "Stripes I & II". She is almost always seen carrying around a plush cat, Honekoneko (lit. "Bone Kitten"), whose expressions often match Stocking's mood. As the first season ended, Stocking was able to return to Heaven, but returned to Earth to help Panty defeat Corset (with some 'celestial help'). However, she kills Panty on their way back to the chapel, revealing herself to be a demon.

Mikoto Misaka is one of the series' main heroines in Toaru Majutsu no Index series and the protagonist of her side story, Toaru Kagaku no Railgun. A psychic user of Academy City, her powers are ranked Level 5, the highest rank for the most powerful psychic users, and she ranks as third-strongest out of the seven people who hold this rank in Academy City.
She attends Tokiwadai Middle School, a famous girls' school for the rich and elite psychics and one of the five elite schools of Academy City,. To most people, she is considered a proper lady, but in reality, she has a short-tempered, prideful, and improper attitude with some tomboyish tendencies and insecurities, a fact few other characters know. She is fond of cute, childish things, such as flowery pajamas and Gekota, the popular frog mascot franchise. She has a strong sense of morals and hates injustice, contrary to what she claims. Her power is to generate electricity; she is powerful enough to cause a blackout in the city, make instant railguns by using coins as projectiles, and use electricity to magnetically attract iron particles around her into a chain-sword whip. She can also manipulate electrical objects such as networks and security systems. She has a one-sided rivalry with Tōma, who nicknames her "Biribiri" (ビリビリ, relating to the sound of an electric shock), ever since their first meeting before the events of the first novel when he first dissipated her electricity. Since that incident, she is always trying to have a proper match with Tōma and defeat him despite his many attempts to avoid conflict with her.

Nelliel, she is much more mature, composed, logical, sophisticated, and intelligent than her child form. She is also relatively level-headed in terms of how to fight, stating that if one's excuse for a battle is to fight out of hatred, prejudice, or simple competition, as Nnoitra does, then it is merely instinctual and animalistic, and that it makes the challenger look "childish," "unworthy," and "not much of a warrior". Though Nelliel has proven during her last few minutes as a full-fledged Espada that it is 'acceptable' when it involves vengeance, she does not view even that as a reason to fight. Unlike many of the Arrancar, Nelliel is somewhat pacifistic, and according to her Fracción, has despised engaging in combat even when she was still among the upper ranks of the Espada, unless it involves self-defense and protecting those dear to her heart. It is for this reason that Pesche and Dondochakka decided to simply be content with her child form and banished themselves from Las Noches. She refuses to finish off weaker or injured opponents, and will stop fighting them once they've been disabled or incapacitated, a trait shared with Kenpachi Zaraki.

As witnessed during her numerous fights with Nnoitra, Nelliel's shown to be relatively calm and silent when fighting, preferring to speak only when spoken to, a rather uncommon trait among most Arrancar. She is even shown to enjoy reading, usually seen reading a book after her mission or after waiting for Nnoitra to wake up after their recent battle.

Nelliel's also shown to be a loyal, respectful, and trustworthy warrior, who will diligently follow the orders of her commander, provided said commander has proven his worth.

She's also knowledgeable, analytical, easygoing, fairly compassionate (usually towards her friends), humorous in her own right, and exhibits a cheerful, energetic demeanor when off-duty. Although having grown up physically, she somehow retains her child-like affection over Ichigo, best-shown when she unexpectedly bear-hugged him after attacking Nnoitra without realizing that Ichigo was losing consciousness (although the anime's flashback of Nel's accident suggested that she was always somewhat childish outside of combat).
