Zero Kiryu ( Vampire Knight )

Zero Kiryu is unique being both a Vampire Hunter and a vampire. Yuki's close friend and the only other Cross Academy Guardian, he was trained to be a Vampire Hunter by Toga Yagari. Zero carries the anti-vampire gun named "Bloody Rose”. Zero lives with Kaien Cross and Yuki, after being bitten by a pureblood vampire who also murders his family. Due to the attack, Zero developed a deep hatred and distrust of vampires, despite originally being a gentle character by nature. Matsuri Hino described Zero as exemplifying her justice side.

Zero is a 17 year old male. The first arc of the story is spent dealing with Zero trying to overcome his fall into the madness, helped by Yuki when she pledges to feed him her blood. Yuki continually oversteps boundaries in helping Zero and he ends up preventing her from trading her humanity to Shizuka Hiou in exchange for preventing his fall to Level E vampire. Zero swears never to allow Yuki to become a vampire and attempts to help her with her own issues. Zero clashes with Kaname Kuran, who only allows Zero to live because Zero protects Yuki and Zero is eventually forced to drink the blood of Kaname to delay becoming a level E vampire. Following the discovery of Yuki's true nature as a pureblood vampire, Zero and Yuki sever their friendship. Perceived as dangerous, Zero is arrested by the Hunters Association and it is revealed that Kaname had been grooming Zero in order for him to defeat Rido Kuran. Zero is shot by his dying twin brother, forcing him to "eat" Ichiru to complete the Twin Hunter fragment. With this final act and carrying the blood of three purebloods [3], Zero becomes one of the most powerful characters appearing in the series. Zero and Yuki work together and defeat Rido, but Zero reveals his intention to end everything, to kill all pureblood vampires including Yuki. Zero hesitates to kill her revealing he has been in love with her since he met her. The two part, as Yuki promises to run from Zero forever to give him a reason to live.

Rokudo Mukuro ( Katekyo Hitman Reborn! )

Mukuro Rokudo is one of the main characters of Reborn! and is also the first season's primary villain.

Despite often being shown with a playful smile, Mukuro is seemingly apathetic to the suffering of others. Appearing as the series' first antagonist, Mukuro is not averse to disposing of those who get in his way, and is not easily intimidated, usually speaking to others in a very direct and arrogant manner. He cares little for others, and simply considers people to be "toys" or "tools" he can sacrifice in order to get to what he wants.

Kuroudo Akabane ( GetBackers )

Kuroudo Akabane (赤羽蔵人, Akabane Kurōdo?), also known as "Dr. Jackal", works as a "Transporter" and has frequently been the Getbacker duo's enemy. He wears a 3-piece suit and an overcoat with a tie and a hat that usually covers most of his face, as he generally speaks with his head inclined. His weapons of choice are 108 razor-sharp surgical scalpels concealed inside his body, which come out and attack at his will. Akabane's other greatest asset is his incredible speed, which is matched by Ban's only: he can dispatch opponents with great ease, and this feat remains unchallenged even when his opponents are monsters from the Beltline.

Unlike the other transporters in GetBackers, Akabane seeks entertainment, rather than money. He chooses jobs exclusively for his own amusement and as his own ability which he himself has never known of. Kyoji Kagami refers to Akabane as "Babylon City's Kuroudo Akabane", so it is safe to assume he was, at one point, a resident of the upper towers. It is later revealed that he used to be a surgeon on the battlefield. When he failed to save Semimaru Kanade's son despite his best efforts, Akabane decided that his destiny is to kill people rather than to save them. According to Dr. Amano (Ginji's mother), this wish was the cause of Akabane's ascension to a Transcendental being with power nearly unparalleled in GB's world.

Sebastian Michaelis ( Kuroshitsuji )

Sebastian Michaelis is the series' antihero. He is the butler of the Phantomhive household and acts as Ciel's bodyguard, two jobs he is completely devoted to. However, he is not overly concerned about Ciel's well-being as he insults and even harms Ciel to see his reaction.

Sebastian often describes himself through the phrase "Because I am one hell of a butler" (わたしはあくまで執事ですから, Aku made shitsuji desu kara?). The phrase plays on the word "demon" (あくま, akuma?) and the phrase "to the end" (あくまで, aku made?). It can also translate to "I am a demon and a butler". He is highly skilled in any area and handles every task, no matter how impossible it is as well as any problem that arises from the errors of the other staff with ease, stating it is only natural as the butler to the Phantomhive family.
